(AllHipHop News) Kid Ink made a major announcement this week on the Bootleg Kev & DJ Hed show.
The rapper and singer revealed he has left RCA Records after a seven-year partnership. The Los Angeles native is now an independent artist.
Before signing with RCA Records, Kid Ink sold over 2 million singles and over 100,000 albums.
During the interview on Real 92.3 Kid Ink referred to the departure as a chance to be “back in control” and being able to release music again on his terms, creatively.
“It got to a standstill because we just weren’t agreeing on things creatively, marketing-wise, or how things should be put out," Kid Ink revealed.
Kid Ink also discussed being labeled as a radio rapper throughout his career, the type of music he plans to release, and more.
In addition to the big news, Kid Ink also dropped a brand new record titled “Holy Grail."
Produced by Swedish producer Canto, the catchy new single is the follow-up track to “Ride Like A Pro” featuring Red Cragun. “Holy Grail” touches on Kid Ink’s fight for freedom and his unwavering motivation for success.
He also reveals on the song that he’s been going through things behind closed doors.
“I been going through it some problems I could tell all the press,” he raps. “But I need more than a minute to get it off my chest.”

Kid Ink is back at it with more new music!
]]>Kid Ink is back at it with more new music! While spitting some heat and flipping his flow a few times, Ink is talking his shxt on the hard hitting beat and it seems he is catching a wave just in time and may very well have a new album on the way. The track produced by Will Steller & Pvlace of 808 Mafia is a definite club banger.
It's pretty much the lyrical equivalent of Randy Moss catching bombs over double teams, juking defenders, jumping over leaping tacklers and dropping quick spin moves on competitors. As one of the greatest receivers in NFL history, Randy Moss was known for his jaw-dropping speed and ability to evade defenders. The way Kid Ink caught his flow and continued to flip it, he is for sure dropping audio touchdowns.
"Made it from nothin' and made my attire.."
Actually check out some of that new attire here: Tha Alumni South Beach Capsule.

]]>A couple weeks ago, Kid Ink dropped a new single "Miami", which inspired us to do a small capsule around the hotspot we all love. We took what we love about South Beach, Miami and put together a few pieces that really brings out that luxury beach vibe.
The 1986 Rari Hoodie, is one of my personal favorites. The minimal 50/50 Cotton/Poly blend hoodie is released in 2 colorways, Black and Vintage Green. Using premium cotton, this heavy weight hoodie (8.0 oz) sports kangaroo pockets and a vintage Ferrari photo print on the front.
Other releases include, the Miami Vice Hoodie, the Plug Talk Hoodie, a South Beach Dad Bag (Fanny Pack), AOP South Beach Hoodie, and 24K South Beach Presidential (with an all new lower price), among others.
Head over and shop the new South Beach Capsule now!

Alumni's very own Kid Ink closed out 2018 with his seven-track "Missed Calls EP" in December. Right off the bat, many listeners were drawn to the raunchy "YUSO," which quickly caught fire as a fan favorite with fiery assists from the legendary Lil Wayne and emerging Bay Area rapper Saweetie. Just a few months later, the trio returns with the twerk-filled "YUSO" music video on Monday (March 18).
